Revolution planning to make an international signing

The Revs are still expecting to make another move this summer.

The New England Revolution are expecting to make an international signing during the Summer Transfer Window, according to club president Brian Bilello.

On Jul. 23, the Revs announced the addition of defender/midfielder Cristhian Machado. The Bolivian international was allegedly on the team’s radar since winter.

If all goes to plan, this won’t be the Revs only move of the summer.

Bilello doesn’t offer any information about the player in question, though it’s worth noting that club ambassador Charlie Davies did say on a recent episode of The Far Post Podcast that the Revs have talked about bringing in “an influential playmaker.”

This statement could mean a lot of things, but you have to imagine that the club is looking for someone who can help them rise in the standings. This could mean a new No. 10, striker, or outside winger.

What position do you hope this potential signing plays? When are you hoping he arrives? Are you waiting for more information before you get excited? Let us know in the comments section below.
