The New England Revolution are interested in adding Fulham’s Luca de la Torre, according to English reports. De la Torre would move to MLS via a loan.

De la Torre, 19, has been with Fulham’s first team since 2016. His debut for the Cottagers came on August 19, 2016 when he played 88 minutes against Leyton Orient in the EFL Cup. Fulham won 3-2 that night and de la Torre finished with 97% passing accuracy. His contributions in league play has been limited to 50 minutes in five matches.

As a former U.S. Youth National Team coach, Brad Friedel is familiar with de la Torre. The attacker has long been a part of the system and recently helped the U.S. U-20s win the 2017 CONCACAF Championship. He also played in the U-20 World Cup where he scored a crucial 94th minute goal to advance his team out of the Group Stage.

De la Torre’s contract with Fulham runs through 2020.
