The New England Revolution made two signings on Saturday, adding 2018 MLS SuperDraft picks Brandon Bye and Mark Segbers.
Bye, 22, joins the Revs after four years at Western Michigan University where he bagged 22 goals and 19 assists in 67 appearances. During his senior year he served as team captain and was named a Herman Trophy semifinalist.
Bye played 120 minutes in three preseason games for the Revolution. His best moment came against FC Cincinnati, as he blazed forward to score the equalizer.
Sebers, 21, made 77 appearances for Wisconsin, 72 of which were starts. He collected 16 goals and 22 assists during his four years in college. He was a Second Team All-Big Ten Conference selection his senior year.
Segbers was limited by injury during the Revolution’s preseason trip to Bradenton, FL and only played 16 minutes against FC Cincinnati.
Bye and Segbers are both versatile players that can feature at right back or right midfield.
