The New England Revolution have been active as of late and they aren’t done yet, as the club plans to add one or two Designated Players.
On Wednesday, club president Brian Bilello tweeted that the Revs are looking to sign “3-4 above max salary players before the season.” He went on to say that one or two of those players will be classified as a DP.
Will add 3-4 above max salary players before the season. 1 or 2 of those will be DP. One announcement this week, not sure if we’ll be able to announce any others prior to 1/1.

The news comes in the same week that the Revolution re-signed Juan Agudelo, acquired Edgar Castillo, and traded Kelyn Rowe.
There has also been a rumor that the club will soon ink Colombian striker Juan Fernando Caicedo, who has been spotted in Massachusetts. J. Caicedo is reportedly in town to complete a physical.
Without J. Caicedo, The Revs currently have 21 players on their roster. Of that lot, all but two are holdovers from 2018. That said, it appears that there will be plenty of new faces present when preseason camp opens on Monday, Jan. 21.
