Forward Juan Fernando Caicedo is coming to the New England Revolution, according to multiple reports out of Colombia.

Caicedo, 29, currently plays for Independiente Medellin in Colombia’s top flight. Since joining the club in 2015, Caciedo has collected 42 goals in 150 appearances. He tallied eleven goals this year.

Before Medellin, Caicedo spent time with Atletico Huila (loan in 2014), Santa Fe (loan in 2013-14), Independiente (2013-14), Deportes Quindio (2011-12), and Cortulua (2010).

It’s worth noting that Revs personnel saw Caicedo play live on Nov. 11 when Medellin played Envigado. Caicedo scored a header in the 12th minute to help his team earn a 2-2 draw.

If the rumor is true, Caicedo would be competing against Teal Bunbury and Brian Wright. Bunbury is coming off a career year, having nabbed double-digit (eleven) goals for the first time in his career. Wright made ten appearances this year (two starts) and scored once.
