McCrary, 22, was selected 10th overall in this year's SuperDraft. The right back was a regular throughout preseason and even scored a goal, but has yet to make a regular-season appearance with the first team. McCrary will be available to the Rhinos when they face the Richmond Kickers tomorrow.
McCrary is the second Revolution player to be sent to Rochester this season. Last week, Donnie Smith spent time with the Rhinos, contributing 90 minutes in the team's 1-0 win over the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. Head coach Bob Lilley had nothing but positive things to say about Smith.
"Donnie was fantastic. He's been with us before so I was able to just talk to him today at lunch to give him some specific instructions, go over restarts, all of his responsibilities," Lilley said. "You could tell he's an experienced guy even though he hasn't played a ton of minutes in New England. You can tell he handled the occasion well. I thought he was real good, solid all game."
One can hope that McCrary receives similar reviews when the Rhinos face the Kickers at 5 pm on Saturday.
