It looks like Marvin Ceballos will play in the United States though it won't be with the New England Revolution as the Guatemalan midfielder is set to join Indy Eleven of NASL, according to a source.
The same source told The Bent Musket that Ceballos had come to terms with the Revs on Friday, Jul. 3. The report was supported by salary numbers released by the MLS Players Union, which claimed that Ceballos was slated to earn $50,004.
The deal obviously broke down, however, as Ceballos signed with Indy Eleven on Monday. An official announcement is expected upon receipt of his P1 Visa and his International Transfer Certificate.
Revolution staff writer and online host Jeff Lemieux spoke to general manager Michael Burns, who confirmed that a deal was close.
Just chatted w/ GM Michael Burns, who confirmed Marvin Ceballos will NOT be joining the #NERevs. Said deal was close, but never done.

Sources have been mum on the reason for the breakdown.
