Will Packwood's search for a team continues as the Chicago Fire will not sign the US youth international, according to Danny Michallik of Comcast SportsNet Chicago.
Frank Yallop: Fire will not be signing Will Packwood. #cf97

The Fire are the third MLS team to take Packwood on trial as the 22-year-old defender was previously with the New England Revolution (twice) and New York Red Bulls. Though he has earned public praise during these trials, Packwood hasn't signed a contract.
You have to wonder why Packwood, who left Birmingham City early to train with the Revs, is still without a club. While he has had injury issues in the past, good performances in the Toulon Tournament helped alleviate those concerns. Furthermore, the Revs, Red Bulls, and Fire are all in need of good defensive depth.
Whatever the reason is, we'll continue to track the story at The Bent Musket.
