Are the New England Revolution eyeing Vietnamese left winger/back Nguyen Phong Hong Duy? Maybe, but probably not.

Reports surfaced earlier this week that the Revs are eyeing Hong Duy of V-League side Hoàng Anh Gia Lai F.C. The move would put the 19-year-old on the same team as Lee Nguyen, a Vietnamese superstar.

The rumor wasn't out there long before being shot down by other local news outlets. The secondary reports questioned where the initial information was extracted from.

So, is there any truth to this rumor? Probably not. Vietnamese news outlets aren't always accurate as proven through the countless stories that have claimed that Nguyen would soon return to the V-League.

That said, the rumor certainly isn't out of the question. Head coach Jay Heaps has established a good reputation when it comes to molding young talent. Furthermore, the team is in need of left back depth, which Hong Duy could apparently fill.

For now, let's not make much of this rumor, though it should remain in the back of our minds.
