"I’m eager to get on the field more. You come to a new club, you want to get those minutes with the guys, especially a team like this. And I think definitely with the group we had out there if I can get some more time, I think I’ll get some more chances and just get comfortable."

Boateng on Borrero: "He’s a great player. I love playing with him. He’s always positive."
"I mean, it’s a trend this season. We do so well against a team that’s very good. We have played against some good teams and we’ve done very well. There’s been positives, but the trend is we leak goals. We just can’t hold that lead for whatever reason."

Bruce Arena: "We’ve had to play games in the past missing players and we’ll continue to play games in the future with injuries and suspensions and those kinds of things. So, you can’t live on that as an excuse."
"I think, my own personal analysis is MLS teams are not capable of playing in Concacaf competition the beginning of the year."
"Well, personally I told them in advance, I thought it was stupid to be playing teams of that quality, thinking that they have to be in those kinds of conditions."
"I mean, it’s been so long since I last started, I think since my rookie year, and being out there able to compete and just work as hard as I can feels really good."
Ema Boateng: "They’re a big part of what we achieved last year, so we’re missing them on the field for sure. But we have great guys that can step in."
