The New England Revolution are currently preparing for the 2017 season, but we’ve already seen some mid-season flair.
During a recent practice, Chris Tierney pulled off some clever footwork to split a couple of defenders during a game of 6v2. The backheel flick was a sight to be seen.
Not to be outdone, Brad Knighton completed an athletic double save, first denying Lee Nguyen before tipping away Kei Kamara’s header. The dramatic highlight can be seen in the 35th second of the video below.
Both moments are impressive, but which one is better? For me, it’s Tierney’s flick. Knighton’s saves show off his quick reflexes, proving that he should be in contention for the number one spot. That said, Tierney’s display of skill is more fun and serves as evidence of the magic he has in his boots.
