We're 24 hours removed from the trade that sent Charlie Davies to the Philadelphia Union. The transaction caused an outpour of tweets, as Davies was one of the most beloved figures in the New England Revolution locker room. As you'd expect, everyone had great things to say about the striker.
Davies will be missed by his Revolution teammates.

He was also a favorite with the Revs staff.
Saying it was an honor to work with #CD9 doesn't do it justice. I'm a better person for knowing him. All the best to him in Philadelphia.

Players come and go. It's part of the deal when you work for a sports team. That said, it's really hard to see @CharlieDavies9 go. #CD9

Very difficult for us. Key was making sure that it was something Charlie wanted for him and his family. Would never have done it otherwise

And while the Revs are sad to lose Davies, the Union are excited for what's to come.
Oh hey, what's up Chuck D! @CharlieDavies9.
