You never want to go against a striker that's in form. Orlando City SC learned that lesson on Friday night as Charlie Davies, who was on a three-game scoring streak heading into the match, grabbed a goal in the 19th minute.
Ravaged by injuries, Orlando City went with a defensive-minded strategy to start the game. The Lions were content with absorbing pressure while hoping that Kaka could create some magic on the counter. It was a reasonable game plan considering that the Revs prefer to play the ball through the middle. A brief lapse, however, cost Orlando, helping the visitors gain the lead.
In the 19th minute, Scott Caldwell stripped Amobi Okugo of the ball. The defensive midfielder played a forward pass to Davies, who took a few touches before launching a right-footed shot past goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts.

With Davies proving potent in front of the net in recent weeks, talk of a US National Team callup has increased. Is the New Hampshire native far off?
