Charlie Davies Puts the Revs Ahead and Shows Fans Some Love

Charlie Davies got the Revs off to a bright start on Saturday night, and then he paid homage to the Fort's tifo from earlier in the night.

Charlie Davies got things off to a great start at Gillette Stadium on Saturday night, putting the New England Revolution ahead of the New York Red Bulls 1-0 in the 9th minute with a great header.

London Woodberry earned his first career assist on the play, and to be fair, his moment seemed to be coming. Woodberry's crossing from the right is deadly and it adds a whole different dimension to this team in the attack.

Here's a look at the goal:

After the goal, Davies took his cue from the fans and gave them a little parting gift. The Midnight Riders unrolled a huge tifo of a matador musketman, and Davies played off it to the delight of all in attendance.
