How to Watch: Revolution vs. Red Bulls

On Saturday, the New England Revolution will face the New York Red Bulls in a battle of Eastern Conference powerhouses. Join us as we discuss.

Stew Milne-USA TODAY Sports

Currently on a six-game unbeaten run, the New England Revolution welcome the New York Red Bulls on Saturday for a battle between Eastern Conference powerhouses.

Although they currently sit atop the Eastern Conference standings, the quality of the Revs has been questioned as they have recently faced a manifold of weakened sides. The Red Bulls, who are coming off a midweek tie against the Colorado Rapids, will provide a stern test as they are undefeated with a record of 3-0-4.

The Revs will have to stay organized if they want to get a result, relying on the defensive aptitude of Bobby Shuttleworth and Andrew Farrell. The return of Jose Goncalves, if ready, will also provide a boast as the captain should regain his place along the backline, shifting Jermaine Jones to the midfield.

The post-Petke era has been good for the Red Bulls as Jesse Marsh has got his men playing smart, organized soccer. Bradley Wright-Phillips has shown that he's still a dynamic player without the assistance of Thierry Henry while Felipe Martins and Sacha Klejestan have been solid in the midfield.
