For the second time this season, London Woodberry of the New England Revolution has been named to MLSsoccer.com's Team of the Week. This nod during week 11 is the right-back's second of the season, as he previously earned the same recognition for his performance during week 9.
During the Revs' 1-1 home draw against Toronto FC, Woodberry held his own defensively and was a major reason as to why the Reds attempted only nine shots throughout the entire contest. As important as that was, the 24-year-old's biggest contribution came on the opposite end of the field.
After Lee Nguyen and Teal Bunbury combined along the right flank, Woodberry offered up a supporting option along the right touch-line. He received the ball in support along the touch-line and bent in a whipping cross behind Toronto's defense for Juan Agudelo to nod home past a sprawling Chris Konopka.
With another Team of the Week nod in tow, Woodberry will look to continue his rich run of form when the Revs travel to Sporting Kansas City on Wednesday and welcome D.C. United on Saturday.
