The New England Revolution will hold their annual "Salute to Heroes" on Saturday night at Gillette Stadium when they face Toronto FC. The event is meant to honor local military heroes, veterans and their families, as well as the region’s first responders. As part of celebration, the Revs will be distributing almost 3,000 tickets to police, fire and EMS personnel, and active duty service members, reservists, veterans and family members from all five branches of the military.
Activities planned for the evening include the OSU Show Troupe performing at halftime and a special pregame rally tunnel compromised of military personnel and their families. The players will be paying their own special tribute to local heroes by wearing jerseys embossed with camouflaged numbers. These unique shirts will be auctioned off online after the game.
