New England Revolution goalkeeper Trevor Spangenberg was only with the Richmond Kickers for one game, but he certainly made an impact as he helped the USL side to a 1-0 victory over FC Montreal on Saturday.

With the Kickers in need of a goalkeeper, Spangenberg traveled to Montreal as part of a one-game loan. The former Chivas USA netminder started, making several crucial saves to help preserve the shutout.

Spangenberg was called into action early, making a 2nd minute stop on Kenny Cooper. He stayed strong throughout the game and made another crucial stop in the dying minutes when he collected a Alessandro Riggi attempt.

Spangenberg will now travel back to New England where he will resume his duties as the team's third goalkeeper behind Bobby Shuttleworth and Brad Knighton.

Spangenberg has made one MLS appearance, playing for Chivas USA as a sub on May 3, 2014. He allowed a goal in that game against the Houston Dynamo.
