The Revolution typically take a “wait and see” approach to the summer transfer window. But this year, that changed.
Two weeks after signing defender Claude Dielna, the club made a blockbuster deal with Columbus Crew SC to acquire forward Krisztian Nemeth. The trade included General Allocation Money, Targeted Allocation Money and an international roster spot.
Everybody’s excited about Nemeth. And when he makes his season debut, that excitement should prove worthwhile.
But now three weeks beyond the transfer window, everybody’s talking about Dielna. The French center back has impressed through two starts, showing leadership and grit beside Antonio Delamea.
So: did the Revs win the transfer window? Or is it too soon to tell?
