Gustavo Bou named president of Argentine club

Could his time in MLS be nearing its end?

While in his birth country of Argentina, New England Revolution striker Gustavo Bou was named the president of Nebel club.

“I am very grateful for the support and the possibility that they give me to come to the club to help,” Bou said via La Nacion. “I am committed to being able to carry out this challenge and I know that I will be able to do it. Everyone knows that it is one of my dreams to help Concordia and the Nebel neighborhood, so I will do everything possible to see the club better every day.”

The club is located in Concordia which is where Bou was born. The striker also stated that he hopes to help the young people in the area.

“I know that many will accompany me and that will be a great help for me,” Bou added. “I know everyone who is here, I grew up with most of them because I lived here and I am going to die here in the Nebel neighborhood and for them to give me the opportunity to assume responsibility and do things with the aim of benefiting the club is a award.”

Bou also said that he hopes to give players the tools to be able to train on and off the field.

La Nacion also noted that recently there were rumors that Bou might return to play at Racing Club.
