Saturday night was a very exciting night for New England Revolution fans.
The Revs dominated FC Cincinnati in their 4-1 victory and one of their best performers with Adam Buksa. The Polish striker was able to eclipse a double-digit goal total on the season.
The rest of the MLS world noticed as Buksa was named to the Week 21 MLS Team of the Week. It is the second time in a month that the Polish striker was named to the squad.
Buksa bagged two goals and an assist against Cincy. With 10 goals on the season, Buksa is now tied for fifth in the MLS Golden Boot race.
After a 2020 season that was far from normal, Buksa seems to finally be well-adjusted to MLS play. He has done so well that he was recently named to Poland’s World Cup Qualifying squad along with the likes of Robert Lewandowski.
Buksa wasn’t the only Revs player on the roster as Tajon Buchanan was named to the bench after scoring a goal and an assist against Cincinnati. That’s quite the appetizer seeing that now Buchanan will be headed to Club Brugge at the end of the 2021 MLS season.
This has been a great season for Buksa and it likely won’t be the last time he is honored this season.
