After months of speculation on the future of Revolution midfielder Tajon Buchanan, new reports from TSN’s Matthew Scianitti suggest a move for the young Canadian could come in a matter of days!

The 22-year-old Brampton, Ontario-native was set for a move to Belgian-side Club Brugge in the closing hours of the MLS transfer deadline on August 5th, yet other clubs had joined the frenzy attempting to acquire Buchanan at the last minute. Preventing a move from happening before the MLS transfer window closed.

Scianitti learned more from Tajon Buchanan’s agent, Mike Senkowski, who told Scianitti that he “estimated 5 clubs” were interested in Buchanan. Senkowski would drop some major hints as he said that Buchanan has “narrowed the list” down to “a Bundesliga club and 2 Champions League clubs”.

One name that reportedly entered the fray for Buchanan on decision day was Bundesliga-side SC Freiburg. It’s also worth noting that Club Brugge is in the Champions League this coming season.

Although the identity of the second Champions League team has yet to be revealed, it is safe to say any club within an extraordinary competition like the Champions League would be a good fit for the young Canadian.

Scianitti would shed some light as to when we could see a move for Buchanan happen. Scianitti suggests that we could learn the future for Buchanan’s before the Revs Saturday, August 14th’s match against Toronto FC.
