Traustason and Buksa headline Week 14 MLS Team of the Week

The Icelandic midfielder and the Polish striker seem to be settling in with the Revs

It won’t be that big of a surprise to Revolution fans but New England was well represented in MLS’s Week 14 Team of the Week.

Coming off a 5-0 victory over Inter Miami, they were bound to have a few players get some recognition. Both Adam Buksa and Arnór Traustason gained Team of the Week honors.

It was another great performance from Buksa down in Florida with him scoring two goals. The striker also had 41 touches and was also the player fouled the most in Wednesday’s match.

But Traustason was the real man of the match. He scored the first two goals of his Revolution career and jumpstarted New England’s attack. The midfielder also completed 97 percent of his passes and had 49 touches.

Still there was one more player who made the team on the bench. Carles Gil worked his magic assisting on two goals and once again showing why he is an MVP-caliber player. If he made it onto the starting team there wouldn’t be a lot of complaints.

So it’s safe to say that Week 14 was a great one for the Revolution.
