On Thursday. Revolution II announced the signing of goalkeeper Yannik Oettl.
Oettl joins Revs II after spending four years with the University of Central Florida, where he was named the American Athletic Conference Goalkeeper of the Year the past three seasons.
The 24-year-old keeper made 58 appearances for the UCF Knights and led them to three straight NCAA tournaments.
During his senior season in 2021, Oettl made 12 appearances for the Knights and led UCF to a 9-4-1 record. UCF would capture the AAC title and clinch a berth in the NCAA tournament, where they made it to the third round, where they lost to Pittsburg.
Oettl was also selected to United Soccer Coaches All-East Region first and second teams in 2018 and 2019, respectively.
Off the pitch, Oetll was named the ACC Scholar-Athlete of the Year after obtaining his degree in Business Management a semester early.
The Munich, Germany native has also spent time with FC Augsburg II, where he made 15 appearances. Oetll also spent time with USL League Two side Ocean City Nor’easters. The SpVgg Unterhaching academy product played his youth days with SV Wangen.
