Could the Revolution be looking to make a move during the secondary transfer window?

Revolution fans tuning into this week’s edition of “Coffee with the Coach” were excited to hear Sporting Director and Head Coach Bruce Arena discuss some interesting topics while getting a tidbit of information regarding potential moves during the upcoming transfer window.

After discussing what he was expecting of his team during their next outing on the road against Atlanta United, Elizabeth Pehota brought up the secondary transfer window that opened on July 7th and runs through August 5th. Pehota put Arena on the spot by asking the Revolution coach if he suspected any roster moves during the transfer window.

Arena would go on to drop a bombshell on the potential for moves in the coming weeks. When asked if any roster moves were likely, Arena said, “There’s a chance that’s going to happen.” Bruce would add on by saying the Revs “have been looking at players.” ahead of the transfer window’s opening.

It seems one player has caught the eye of Arena and his staff. Although the player’s identity has yet to be revealed, Arena noted that this individual has been on their radar for “probably 18 months.” Arena also added he is confident that he and the club can get around to signing this individual “over the next week or two.”

Although the Revs have gotten off to a hot start in 2021, there may be a position or two that Arena could be looking to upgrade to give the Revs the best chance to hoist their first MLS Cup in club history.
