Thursday night wasn't the best night for the United States Men’s National Team. After all the hype that they received they weren’t as dominant as fans were hoping for against Honduras.
While the United States were able to get some chances early on in the game including a beautiful play by Gio Reyna, there were plenty of times where Honduras took control of the game and did quite well against the USMNT.
At the end of 90 minutes, the United States was able to walk away with the win thanks to a late goal from Jordan Siebatcheu, but it sure wasn’t a pretty performance from the squad. Frankly the stars and stripes should consider themselves lucky that they are playing in the Final.
Taylor Twellman gave his thoughts on the performance at halftime and another former Revolution player decided to chime in as well.
Been watching this same boring performance for 5 years. It’s getting old. This team won’t come close to a World Cup https://t.co/RmqRAf0EcL

Former Revolution player Tyler Rudy was none too pleased with the performance of the USMNT. Even after the win, Rudy continued voicing his displeasure on Twitter.
Give me Jay Demerit, Oguchi Onyewu, Ricardo Clark, Kyle Beckerman over some of these young “superstars”. A lack of intensity, pride, and passion. It’s getting old. #USAvHON

If the United States wants to win the Nations League, they will need to have a much better performance next time out. If they fail to show up as they did against Honduras, they won’t be lifting any trophies.
