As the Major League Soccer summer transfer window prepares to open, rumor upon rumor has speculated on possible offers the Revs have or plan to receive have surfaced. A new report from ESPN flips the switch as they talk about a possible target the Revs may be looking to bring in.

In an article posted early Monday morning, ESPN discussed possible transfers for top European stars like Sancho, Haaland, Dembele, and more, but as you scroll down, an eyecatching heading states; “La Liga star attracts MLS interest”.

Sources have informed ESPN that the New England Revolution “are tracking” Real Betis forward Juanmi. The 28-year-old Forward joined Real Betis after stints with Spanish sides like Málaga CF, Racing, Real Sociedad, and English side Southampton.

Making over 16 appearances for Real Betis in 2020/21, Juanmi only amounted two goals on fourteen shots. Another concern regarding Juanmi is his unfortunate injury history.

According to TransferMarket, Juanmi has suffered two serious injuries throughout his career. His first came in 2014/15 where he missed six games for Málaga CF due to an ulnar fracture. The second is the more serious of the two as he sustained a foot injury in 2019/20 where he missed thirty-two games for Real Betis with a “foot injury”.

As the transfer window approaches, it will be interesting to see if the interest in Juanmi will culminate in any substance or if the Revs will look at other options.
