Carles Gil is feeling good despite the injury scare.

Gil went down with a non-contact issue in the second half, causing many New England Revolution fans to hold their breath. Head coach Bruce Arena first thought it was a hamstring injury, but soon wondered if Gil tweaked his ankle.

El Rey soldiered on, but looked a bit off, especially after hitting a long-range shot. The Revs broadcast mentioned that Gil was adamant about staying on the field, which is what ultimately happened.

In a sign that Gil will be okay, he set up the final goal by finding Gustavo Bou, who earned the primary assist on Adam Buksa’s third tally of the year.

Arena believes that Gil should be fine, telling media, “Carles just got kicked a couple of times, and I guess he’s used to it. The first time, we were a little nervous about it, obviously. And then the second time off a shot. I just spoke with him. He’s fine.”
