Revolution fans rejoiced Thursday evening as the club announced that recently acquired midfielder Arnór Traustason had obtained his P-1 Visa.

The Icelandic midfielder, who signed the Revs on March 16th, comes into the 2021 season fresh from World Cup Qualifying action where he played over 160 minutes in three appearances and notched an assist.

With his P-1 Visa granted, Traustason plans on traveling to the United States this weekend where he will complete his required 7-day quarantine. Hopefully, this means that he will be ready for the start of the regular season.

Upon quarantine completion, Traustason will look to make his Revs training debut when the team returns from their 18-day stay in Los Angeles and prepare for the April 17th season opener on the road against the Chicago Fire.

If Traustason doesn’t make his debut then, he could make his debut in front of Revolution fans on April 24th when the club faces off against D.C. United at Gillette Stadium.
