New England Revolution fans have been waiting for Arnór Traustason to arrive stateside. That moment finally arrived on Monday.
The club’s official Twitter account sent out a video of the 27-year-old arriving at the Revs facilities on Monday afternoon.

While this is great news, it seems like Traustason won’t be ready in time for New England’s first game of the 2021 MLS season.
As reported by Jeff Lemieux, Traustason will need to complete a seven-day quarantine before joining his teammates for full training. Until those seven days are up, Traustason will only be able to train by himself.
Traustason’s arrival on Monday seems to set up the home opener against D.C. United on April 24th as the likely debut for the attacker.
So even though Traustason is in Massachusetts, Revolution fans will have to be a little more patient (unless Bruce Arena has some tricks up his sleeve), but it’s exciting to see the Icelander arrive at his new stomping grounds.
