On Thursday, the New England Revolution II announced the signing of defender Prosper Figbe.
The 24-year-old defender comes to the Revolution II after stints with USL-side Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC, where he signed with the club before the start of their 2019 season yet was unable to see action after sustaining a knee injury.
Figbe also made one appearance for the OKC Energy in their second-round match of the 2017 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup tournament.
Figbe has some ties to the Revolution as he and current Revs center back Henry Kessler teamed up together at the University of Virginia. During his time at UVA, Figbe racked up 3,259 minutes and 1 assist over 38 appearances.
Figbe began his collegiate career at the University of South Florida where he tallied 1 goal over 19 appearances. During his time at USF, Figbe was honored with AAC All-Rookie Team in 2015, and the All-AAC First Team and ACC Defender of the Year in 2016.
