One of the few good things that happened in 2020 was the return of some players who will always have a place in the hearts of New England Revolution fans. One of those guys was Kelyn Rowe, but sadly the midfielder won’t be returning in 2021.

It was officially announced on Friday that Rowe would be headed home to play for the Seattle Sounders. Rowe once again is saying goodbye to New England.

In the 2020 regular season, Rowe appeared in 16 games. When the postseason arrived he was primarily being used as a sub.

When you add on the transfers that New England made in the offseason, it’s not that surprising to see Rowe go.

Rowe spent the first seven seasons of his career in New England and made over 200 appearances for the club.

With all the time he spent in New England it will be tough to see Rowe leave, but at least he is headed home.

When the news of Rowe heading to Seattle broke, the veteran took to Twitter to thank Revs fans.

So while it is not surprising that Rowe won’t be returning, Revolution fans will definitely miss seeing him at Gillette Stadium in 2021.
