The New England Revolution’s new secondary kit is expected to be released by Adidas in March.
There are limited details about the new shirt as online databases only describe it as “white.” The team has yet to post any teasers.
Atlanta United’s new jersey was leaked on Monday, but since it’s their primary kit it’s doubtful that the Revs will wear something similar. Rather, it’s more likely that the Revs will have a shirt akin to the secondary jerseys introduced last year. Sporting KC, Vancouver Whitecaps, Toronto FC, New York City FC, and Atlanta United all got new secondary kits in 2020.
The new Revs jersey will replace The Colonial, which was modeled after the uniforms worn by generals in the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War. The bicolor shirt was presented in 2019.
The Revs will don their blue throwback jerseys for one more year. The shirt, nicknamed “The Original,” celebrates the team’s 25-year history.
Note: This article originally stated that the Revs’ new jersey would be released in February based on the information we had. It was then pointed out to us that Revs Vice-President of Marketing Cathal Conlon tweeted that the jersey will be revealed in March. We have updated the article to reflect that. Thank you to Chris Creighton for making us aware of the error.
