On September 11th, Major League Soccer released the remainder of the schedule for the month of September for all 26 MLS clubs.
The New England Revolution will face some very familiar faces.
The Revs will host New York City F.C. at Gillette Stadium on September 19th. New York paid a visit to Foxboro on September 2nd where they easily secured a 2-0 victory over a subpar Revs side. The time for their next encounter has yet to be determined.
On September 23rd, The Revolution will host the Montreal Impact. This will be the third meeting for both clubs. The first being the respective clubs’ season opener on February 29th in Montreal. The Revolution got off to a strong start in that match but were unable to answer two goals from the Impact. The second match came in the group stage of the MLS is Back Tournament on July 9th. The Revolution secured a 1-0 win after a goal from Gustavo Bou in the 56th minute of the match. September 23rd’s match is scheduled for 7:30 PM EST
The final game of this latest slate is scheduled for September 27th as the Revolution travel to Audi Field to take on D.C. United. The first meeting between these two clubs was on July 17th during group stage action of the MLS is Back tournament. The final result was a 1-1 draw after goals from Adam Buksa and Federico Higuaín. September 27th’s match is scheduled for 7:00 PM EST.
All three games will be available to watch on NBC Sports Boston, and available to listen to on 98.5 The Sports Hub (English) and Nossa Radio USA (Portuguese).
