Clint Peay and the Revolution II will look to secure the young club’s first professional win as they return to USL League One action on August 7th as they host Orlando City B.
The Revolution II last played on July 25th in what was the clubs inaugural match. Unfortunately, the Revolution were unable to find the back of the net in a scoreless draw against Union Omaha.
When talking about the club’s inaugural match, head coach Clint Peay said “I thought it was a good performance overall after looking at the tape... I think the guys did a great job of executing especially defensively.” Peay would also talk about some of the chances the team was able to generate by saying “We were able to create some moments in the game where if we were just a little sharper, I think we translate those into some quality chances or goals.
After competing in their first professional match, it appears Revolution II players are ready for Friday’s game. Goalkeeper Joe Rice would describe the feeling for Friday’s match by saying “Everyone had a solid game, and I think its now its just getting that under the belt and moving on and learning, and on to the next game and on to the next game.” Connor Presley would comment on the team’s readiness of the team by saying “We’re working hard this week to be ready.” With 90 minutes under their belt, the Revolution II will look to come into Friday’s match looking to make an impact.
