Academy players announce college commitments

13 Revs Academy players announce their college commitments

On Friday, thirteen members of the Revolution Academy announced what college they would continue their career with. Eight of which were NCAA Division I.

Academy Midfielder Tyler Burns will join the reigning NCAA Division I champions as he will continue his career at Georgetown University. Burns has spent the past few seasons with the Revolution Academy where he has netted 22 goals over 107 appearances.

Forward Gevork Diarbian will join Providence College. The Cranston native joined the Revs academy in 2017 when he played for the U-16 team. Over 39 appearances, Diarbian netted 5 goals for the Revs Academy.

Goalkeeper Elliot Jones obtained his high school degree early and will join Stamford University in the fall as a 17-year-old freshman.

Defender Abdel Talabi has committed to Bryant University. Midfielder Kaoru Fujiwara will join Ivy League side Harvard University. Fujiwara is not the only academy player to join the Ivy League. Michael teDutis will join the University of Pennsylvania.

Victor Viana will join Loyola University – Chicago. The South Dennis native amounted 10 goals with the Revs Academy.

Defender Brian Son from Glastonbury Connecticut will join the University of Vermont.

On top of these commitments, 5 players have given verbal commitments. Joseph Buck has verbally committed to join Georgetown University. Cole Dewhurst and Colby Quinonese have both verbally committed to Providence College. Aidan Farwell and Samuel White have both verbally committed to Boston College.
