The New England Revolution have now been hit with COVID-19. The club announced on Tuesday that a player had tested positive on Sunday. No other players or staff have tested positive at this time. The player is self-isolating and everyone at The Bent Musket hopes that he is doing well.

This is quite the timing seeing that the Revolution have a playoff game on Friday. It seems as though the Revs will be without at least one first team player in this crucial game.

As the club stated it appears that this is an isolated incident with no one else testing positive in subsequent testing, but one has to naturally worry if this will spread throughout the team. If that’s the case it’s hard to imagine a game being played on Friday night.

New England faces the Montreal Impact at Gillette Stadium in what should be a highly contested playoff matchup.
