New England Revolution players were in the Halloween spirit on Saturday as they wore costumes to the their training session. Some players, like Diego Fagundez and Andrew Farrell, went with the scary look. Others, like Kelyn Rowe and Tommy McNamara, took a more humorous approach.

Which players looked the best? Our staff is here to provide the hard-hitting fashion critiques that you crave.
Seth: Scott Caldwell going as Matt Turner
Caldwell is a quiet individual, so I love to see his personality come out. The midfielder, who has been called the team’s dad, mimicked Turner’s pregame style by donning ripped white pants and a long sleeve shirt. The look is topped off by a fashionable umbrella. Dressing like someone else on the team is always fun, which makes me wish that someone tried to steal Bruce Arena’s style. I would’ve always enjoyed a Brad Friedel costume. The absence of those costumes leaves me to name Caldwell as the best dressed, though I do like Brad Knighton’s taco garb.
Jake: Brad Knighton as a Taco
There’s a lot of very good horror costumes that are quite impressive here, as well a smattering of routine army/cop/etc costumes that are quite common.
And then right in the middle of it all is a very large taco. I am not sure whether it’s because I am biased towards Revs goalkeepers and good jokes or because of my love of Taco Bell but Knighton wins this hands down in my opinion. Honorable mention to Matt Turner as a Patriots cheerleader.
Josh: Matt Turner as a Patriots Cheerleader
This was honestly a tough decision. Although all costumes were creative and well put together, there is one that stands above the rest, and that is Matt Turner as a Patriots cheerleader.
First of all, props to Matt Turner for being able to withstand the frigid temperature!
The pom-poms were a nice addition to the costume and allowed Turner to show his goofy side in the team released video and photoshoot!
My runner up would have to Jeff Caldwell’s as a classic detective
