The official date for the New England Revolution jersey reveal was supposed to be sometime next week, but as usual the internet figured things out first.
The twitter account for “Todo Sobre Camisetas” (literal translation All About Shirts) went through the entire 2020 MLS catalog with all the new jerseys fans can expect to see. Yes, all of the shirts have those three Adidas stripes on the shoulder but that’s not what this is about. For now...

Okay, I am biased because I think the Crayon Flag is the greatest logo in the league but I do think the odd MS Paint crayon/eraser tool thing going on in the middle is downright spectacular in the creativity department compared to most of the shirts TSC highlighted today.
One of my biggest gripes as always is that I am a big fan of trim and panels, and having a big thing of blue just annoys me. Make that center Adidas stripe red, add some red and white cuffs to the sleeves and I think we’re all in business. Another hopeful idea comes from the hashtag the suggests an earlier promo shoot with Gustavo Bou that featured red shorts could round out the kit.
Personally I really like the navy shirt, white shorts, navy socks look the Revs have been sporting at home the past few years but there was a lot of angst about cookie cutter Adidas kits with the shoulder stripe, and yes, while the stripes are meh, I was expecting something perhaps far worse than this. And I’m pretty sure I do like this...but again I am biased towards designs that include shit MS Paint tools.
So what do you think? Is the new Revs shirt a winner, loser, or are you waiting for the clearance sale in a few years to get one? Let us know in the comments below.
