Revs II sign Providence College midfielder

Friars midfielder Tiago Mendonca signs with Revs II

As the Revs were busy preparing for preseason action, a new player was signed to the clubs USL affiliate, the Revs II.

On January 28, 2020, the club announced the signing of midfielder Tiago Mendonca to Revolution II. The Faro, Portugal native spent his last four seasons as a member of the Providence College’s men’s soccer team. As a Friar, Mendonca appeared in 69 matches with 58 starts. Mendonca notched 11 goals along with 4 assists in his tenure with Providence.

Mendonca earned a number of awards while at Providence College, despite missing the 2016 season due to injury. In 2015, Mendonca was named to the All-BIG EAST Freshman Team. In 2018, he was named to the All-BIG EAST First Team along with a spot on the Capital City Classic All-Tournament Team.

Tiago Mendonca becomes the Revolution II’s 10th signee for the first year USL side which will begin play in March.
