Revs will face Orlando City in Round 16 of the U.S. Open Cup

Revs move on in the U.S. Open Cup’s round of 16! Who will they face?

MLS: U.S. Open-New England Revolution at New York Red Bulls Catalina Fragoso-USA TODAY Sports

After a comeback victory in the fourth round of the US Open Cup, the Revolution learned that they will be facing Orlando City SC in the next stage of the tournament. The Revs will travel to Orlando, FL for a match on Jun. 19. Kickoff is set for 7:30 pm.

Although the two clubs have not met in the 2019 season, they did face off on Feb. 20 where the Revs suffered a devastating 6-2 loss in the preseason.

Since Orlando City S.C. MLS debut in 2015, the Revolution have played a total of 9 matches against Orlando. The Revs boast an overall record of 3-2-4 against the Orlando club.

One thing we learned from the Revs fourth round match against New York is that the Bruce Arena Revolution are determined to pull out the victory, even if they fall behind. With that being said, it will be intriguing to see how both clubs will preform against one another considering a majority of the two clubs’ matches against each other have resulted in draws.
