Three New England Revolution players have been named to their respective national squads for the upcoming training camps and friendly matches.
The three Revs selected were Zachary Herivaux (Haiti), Gabriel Somi (Syria), and Justin Rennicks (USA).
Herivaux will join Haiti’s national team as they prepare to play their fourth and final qualifying match for the 2019-2020 Concacaf Nations League. So far Haiti holds a 3-0-0 record in the qualifiers. Herivaux has racked up ten MLS appearances for the Revs and four appearances for the USL’s San Antonio FC.
Somi will join Syria’s national team as they participate in the 2019 International Friendship Championship between Iraq, Syria, and Jordan. Somi will be on international duty from March 18th – March 27th. Somi was able to assist on two goals in 14 appearances made during the 2018 Revs season.
Rennicks will join the United States U-20 team for training camp and matches from March 18th – March 26th. This will be Rennicks second stint with the US U-20 team. Rennicks helped the U-20 team win the 2019 CONCACAF U-20 Championship. Rennicks was able to produce four goals and six assists throughout the tournament.
All three are expected to miss the Revs home match against F.C. Cincinnati on March 24th.
