The New England Revolution are on the mend, according to head coach Brad Friedel.

After the Revolution’s 2-1 victory over KR Reykjavik, Friedel spoke with Elizabeth Pehota about about a number of topics, including the current health of the club. Andrew Farrell, Juan Fernando Caicedo, and Isaac Angking have been sidelined recently, but there’s hope that they could be ready ahead of the season opener.

“Isaac [Angking] is nearing being able to join the group full time,” Freidel said. “He had a little bit of quad strain. Juan Fernando [Caicedo] is very, very close. He’s day-to-day with a little bit of a muscular injury.”

“With Andrew Farrell, a freak training ground accident. It actually was an injury to his eye. It’s kept him out even from being allowed to do a lot of anything for a couple of weeks. We’ll see what progress he’s made when we get back. Hopefully, he’ll be with us for the first game, but it’ll be touch-and-go.”

With the 2019 MLS season about to begin, the Revolution will hope that everyone can be and stay at full health.
