After a rough start on Thursday, the New England Revolution returned to the pitch on Saturday to face Minnesota United. The Revs lost 1-0 after Miguel Ibarra capitalized on a mistake.
The Revs maintained themselves in the first half as they limited Minnesota United’s offense and entered the locker room with zeroes on the board,
The second half was a different story for the Revolution. In the 65th minute, Minnesota midfielder Miguel Ibarra forced a turnover and slotted home a goal.
The Revolution did not give up, however. In the 74th minute, the Revs made four substitutions in order to put some fresh legs onto the pitch. Nicolas Firmino, who had entered for Scott Caldwell, didn’t take long to make an impact, as he almost found an equalizer in the 77th minute. Bobby Shuttleworth was there to make the stop.
The Revs will look to curb their two-game losing streak on Wednesday when they face off against Orlando City SC.
