The New England Revolution were able to escape the winter weather as they boarded flights to Bradenton, Florida for their second leg of preseason action.
The Revs will start their preseason in Bradenton on Valentine’s Day as they play against Louisville FC. The last time these two clubs met was in June 2018 when they faced off in the fourth round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. Louisville won the night, pulling off a 3-2 victory over the Revs.
After Louisville, the Revs will play host to some familiar foes from Major League Soccer. On the 16th, the Revs face Minnesota United. The last time these two met was on July 18, 2018 when Minnesota dominated the first half by scoring two goals. They ultimately captured three points with a 2-1 victory.
On February 20, the Revs return to action against Orlando City FC. The Revs faced off against Orlando two times in 2018. The first being a disappointing 3-3 draw on August 4. The second was a dominant 2-0 victory on November 13.
The Revs finish up preseason with a match against the Greenville Triumph on the 21 and another match against KR Reykjavik on the 23.
The Revolution will hope to have a better campaign in Bradenton after a decent 1-1-2 start in Marabella, Spain. More importantly, let’s hope the Revolution continue to build upon their chemistry in preparation for the 2019 MLS season.
