What a guy!

New England Revolution goaltender Matt Turner will take over as the team’s representative for the Never Ever Give Up Crew (NEGU) this season. The NEGU Crew works alongside the Jessie Rees Foundation to provide kids battling cancer the ultimate game day experience.

The program was started by Kelyn Rowe, who was traded to Sporting Kansas City this past off-season. When Rowe was with the Revs organization, he initiated the formation of the NEGU Crew, which involved the midfielder visiting local sick children along with hosting them at matches at Gillette Stadium.

When asked about replacing Rowe with the NEGU Crew, Turner said “Kelyn always knew that I was really interested in being a part of it. I’m really involved with hospital visits like the ones at Boston Children’s Hospital, and so it was just something that when Kelyn brought it up to me, it was a no brainier. I said yes immediately, and I’m really excited.”

Although Kelyn Rowe is no longer a member of the Revolution, he has made a lasting impact on the local community. Now it’s time for Matt Turner to take the helm of the organization and provide local children with the same great experience.
