The Revolution surrendered more than three points on Saturday.
In the first half of the club’s meeting with the Montreal Impact, Revs forward Juan Agudelo exited the match with a hamstring injury. New England then conceded four straight goals en route to a 4-2 defeat.
This week, Revs gaffer Brad Friedel admitted that Agudelo’s injury could result in a long-term absence.
“It is really early. We’re hoping it’s not too serious,” Friedel said. “He is going to have a couple of further tests, so I don’t really have a timeframe, but I’m hoping it’s on the couple of weeks as opposed to over the month, but we’ll have to wait and see on that.”
According to the letter of Friedel’s response, Agudelo will miss a minimum of a “couple of weeks.” That’s bad news for the Colombian-born forward, who had finally worked his way into Friedel’s Starting XI over the past three weeks.
More information about Agudelo’s injury should become available later this week.
