Three Reasons Why The Revs Will Defeat FC Dallas This Weekend

The Revs are rolling right now with three wins in four straight games without a loss. Their record sits at 3-1-1 and that’s good enough for third place in the Eastern Conference. Their next opponent? FC Dallas who sit in 7th in the Western Conference with a record of 1-0-3. Dallas has struggled immensely this season and has failed to find that offensive spark that most clubs find early on. Here’s three reasons why the Revs will win this Saturday:

1. Unbeaten at home in 10 games

The Revs extended their unbeaten streak at home to ten games with their 2-2 draw against NYCFC on Saturday. The streak dates back to the 2017 season. Gillette has proven to be a special place for the Revs and it’ll be tough for FC Dallas to come in and beat the Revs at home.

Although Dallas has not lost a game yet, they have only won one game so far and tied the last three. The Revs are a much more complete squad and will give Dallas a rough time on their home turf.

2. Home record vs. FC Dallas is superb

The Revs have a pretty nice record at home against Dallas with 12 wins, 7 losses, and 1 draw. However, the Revs did lose their last meeting against Dallas at Toyota Stadium back in 2017 and they lost their last home meeting against Dallas 4-2 in 2016.

Even though the Revs have lost to Dallas the past two meetings, Dallas has yet to show their faces in Foxborough since the Revs unbeaten streak. So naturally, I wouldn’t worry too much about the past games.

Overall, the Revs play well against Dallas and the home crowd will be behind them this time as they look to make it 11 straight games without being beaten at home.

3. Fagundez provides an offensive spark

Fagundez has always been a dynamic goal scorer, he already has three goals and an assist through five games this season. His new sidekick, Penilla, has really complemented Diego’s style of play.

Penilla is helping the team make plays and score goals which is what we like to see, and he really flourishes with Fagundez.

Fagundez and his crafty offensive skill set will prove to be a key factor in a potential Revs win over Dallas. Diego is arguably the best offensive player on the team and he will lead by example this weekend.

My final score prediction for this weekend? Revs 3 Dallas 1. Revs goals scored by Fagundez, Zahibo, and Rowe.
