Claude Dielna talks about his off season

Remember the show Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? Well, you could’ve easily played that game this off season with Claude Dielna in place of the title character.

The New England Revolution center back traveled the world during his break, visiting friends and family in England, France, Spain, and more. His Instagram was littered with pictures that would make any traveler envious.

When pressed to name his favorite location, Dielna found it difficult to name just one.

“When I go to Paris to see my family, that’s the best place,” Dielna said. “In Miami, I used to go there for a long time, as well. It was not new for me. It was just a time for recovery, [both] physically and mentally.”

It wasn’t all fun and games for Dielna, who trained regularly to prepare for his first full season in MLS. While his Instagram showed that these sessions were pretty intense, Dielna was coy about his regiment.

“I try to stay in shape,” he said. “I try to train every day. Not too hard, just to stay in shape.”
