The New England Revolution came from behind twice to earn a 2-2 draw against FC Dallas to open the Mobile Mini Sun Cup.
The first notable moment of the game occurred in the 9th minute when debuting midfielder Wilfried Zahibo issued an unpleasant tackle to Carlos Gruezo. Zahibo was shown a red card, though the Revs were able to stay at full strength by inserting Diego Fagundez. Zahibo is expected to be suspended for Saturday’s game against San Antonio FC.
Safe to say Wilfried Zahibo doesn't shy away from a challenge. He gets a red card for this nasty challenge on Carlos Gruezo.

It'll still be 11 vs. 11, which is the right decision considering it's #MLS preseason. Diego Fagundez on for Zahibo. #NERevs pic.twitter.com/KhyOmvOXQb
The Revs found themselves in a hole just six minutes later when Mauro Diaz pounced on a rebound. The opportunity materialized after Matt Turner stopped Michael Barrios’ bid.
The Revolution nearly had an equalizer in the 30th minute but goalkeeper Jimmy Maurer was there to turn away Teal Bunbury.
The Revs were able to find a breakthrough after a trip to the locker room, as Brian Wright assisted Cristian Penilla in the 55th minute. The strike was Penilla’s second of preseason.
Dallas pulled ahead in the 77th minute when Santiago Mosquera made a daring run forward. He then found an unmarked Maxi Urruti right in front of goal.
The game returned to level terms in the 85th minute because of Fagundez. The birthday boy was aided by Kelyn Rowe, who had to work hard to push past a couple of Dallas defenders.
The Revolution will return to action this Saturday when they face San Antonio FC.
